Vehicle Description

This Land Rover Discovery 2 is exceptionally clean! I have owned and worked on about 20 of these and without a question, was well looked after and apparently garaged its whole life. Rust and corrosion are minimal, everywhere on the truck. The engine is so clean, it almost looks new. Really nice example of a well-tended truck. The Carfax shows this truck was serviced regularly at a Land Rover Dealer most of its life. Oil changes and regular maintenance are key to these trucks surviving now almost 20 years later.

New Window Regulators installed, 7-15-22.

PA State Inspection and Emissions good till June 2023.

The interior on this is very nice and again, maybe one of the nicest original headliners I've ever come across. Seems new!

When I bought this truck I noticed the oil pressure was low so I replaced the oil pump, water pump, pulleys, serpentine belt and of course, fresh oil to the engine. Problem sorted! Next, I put in a 180 degree thermostat and that keeps the engine running about 10 degrees lower (188.6 degrees).

The front bumper was cracked and beyond repair so I replaced with a steel off road bumper that is ready for a winch if you ever want to off road it!

Finally, I fitted with a new suspension set up using top of the line "Old Man Emu" shocks and springs. This gives the Rover a slight lift and that along with slightly larger, brand new Cooper off road tires, makes this truck awesome looking! Should be completed and ready to go in July 2022.

Last item I am looking into on this truck is a slight ticking sound in the engine. This can be one of several issues and I want to get it sorted for you before you buy it. Likely it is a hydraulic lifter and that can be repaired. More to come but reach out with any questions! (FYI - Trailer hitch, not included)
